The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the crest of the S-facing slope of a N-S drumlin ridge. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (int. diam. 47m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3.3-4.2m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1-1.2m) W-NE and at S where it is incorporated into a field bank and hedge, but elsewhere it has been reduced to a scarp (at E: Wth 2.6m; H 1.5m) with a fosse represented by an outer berm (at E: Wth 8m) defined by a scarp (at E: Wth 1.4m; ext. H 0.7m). There is a modernised entrance through the bank at N.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
