Megalithic tomb - portal tomb

The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low ridge in a N-S valley. A discontinuous, overgrown cairn (dims c. 51m NNW-SSE; 10m ENE-WSW; max. H 2m) in three sections contains the remains of three, possibly four, separate chambers. Incorporated into a field bank at S is a collapsed portal tomb chamber (dims c. 2m x c. 2m) composed of a sidestone and the backstone with a roofstone that is largely hidden by cairn material. At the centre are two lateral chambers, the S having only two visible stones while the N (dims 1.6m E-W; 0.75-1.3m N-S) has three. Two orthostats c. 13m from the N end of the cairn may represent another chamber. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 77-9)
