The National Monuments Service's description
Reported (4-10-2021) by Mr Aidan Harte, Project Co-ordinator, Leitrim Sweathouse Project. Indicated, but not named, on the OS 25-inch map (1906) where it is shown located roughly midway between a dwelling c. 100m to the ESE and another c. 170m to the WNW. Mentioned four times in the School’s Manuscript Collection as having been operated by the late Mr. Patrick Faughnan and recorded as being in disrepair by the 1930s.
On the E-facing slope of a low hill in woodland. Survives as a sub-circular, roofless chamber with an entrance opening to N. A Portal Tomb (LE032-086----) stands c. 25m to the SSW.
