The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of a drumlin. This is an overgrown subcircular platform (dims c. 32m N-S; c. 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 1.9m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) at E, which is reduced to a scarp (at W: Wth 1m; H 1.2m) elsewhere, and an external fosse (Wth of top 2.1-2.5m; Wth of base 0.8-1.3m; ext. D 0.5m). The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
