The National Monuments Service's description
Located on top of a low hillock in mixed woodland. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a circular area (diam. 34.5m N-S; 33.8m E-W) defined by the slight remains of an earthen bank best preserved (at E: Wth of base 4.9m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.3m) NE-SE and SW-WSW (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3m) but reduced to a scarp (at N: Wth 2.0m; H 0.2m) NW-NE and not traceable SE-SW or WSW-NW. There are possible traces of a fosse N-E, but the perimeter could be cut by a NE-SW filed bank at SW and a NW-SE drain at SW. An entrance cannot be identified.
