The National Monuments Service's description
: Located towards the top of the S-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass and scrub-covered circular area (int. diam. 26m E-W; 24m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth of base 2.5m; max. H 0.35m) and a slight external fosse (Wth 2m) suggested by lush vegetation. The original entrance is not identified and the monument is truncated slightly by a NW-SE field bank at SW. Rath (LE031-027----) is c. 80m to the NNW
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
