The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the E-facing slope of a drumlin. This monument is not recorded on any map but is visible as a circular overgrown area on aerial photographs (GSIAP: G 153-4). It is described in 1991 (SMR file) as a grass- and scrub-covered circular area (diam. c. 28m) defined by a fosse represented by a band of rushes (Wth 2-4m) S-W, and by bushes on the perimeter elsewhere. The scrub had been removed by 2000 (OSAP).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
