The National Monuments Service's description
Located in scrub on rock outcrop which is on the floor of an E-W valley with a small W-E stream c. 100m to the N. It is described as a ‘Stone Circle’ only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. In 1991 there were two stone uprights, each aligned N-S (S stone: dims 1.2m x 0.6m; H 0.95m; N stone: 1.55m x 0.5m; H 0.9m), and there was a pit just to the N from which a third stone (dims 0.55m x 0.25m; L 1.6m) had been removed since the 1940s (SMR file). They formed a rough N-S alignment (surviving L 4.1m). The scrub had been removed by c. 2012 (OSAP) but the stones still appear to be present.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
