The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on SE shoulder of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered oval area (max. dims c. 34m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by a steep-sided, overgrown, earthen bank (Wth c. 3-5m; H c. 0.6m) with a fosse suggested by a waterlogged band of lush vegetation. There are modern entrances (Wth 4m) at NE and NW.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
