The National Monuments Service's description
Located at the crest of the S end of a short NE-SW drumlin ridge. It was described in 1991 an overgrown circular area (diam. c. 45m) defined by an intermittently visible earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; H 0.4m), and an external fosse visible only as a band of lush vegetation (Wth 3m) at SW. The growth appears to have been largely cleared from the monument (Bing 2013).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
