Situated on the N-facing slope of a small drumlin rise. This is a grass and rush-covered oval area (int. dims 28m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3m at N to 7m at S; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.3m) which is overlain by a field bank SW-NW, and slight traces of an external fosse (Wth 3m) N-NE. An original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
