The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the S-facing slope of a slight rise within a conifer forest on old parkland associated with Drumhierny Lodge, which had been laid out by P. Latouche and was worthy of note (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 214). This feature is indicated as a subcircular copse (diam. c. 25m) on the 1835 and 1911 editions of the OS 6-inch map. No feature is visible at ground level in woodland.
