The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise which is on the NE-facing slope of a col, the summit of which is c. 170m to the SW where rath (LE026-024----) is located. This is an overgrown oval area (dims 33m N-S; 25.3m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 1.2-1.6m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 4.5m; Wth of base 2m; D 1m) E-S-W. The bank is reduced to a scarp (H 1.4-2.2m) and the fosse to a berm (Wth 2-2.5m) elsewhere. There is an entrance (Wth 2m), possibly original, at SE.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
