The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the top of a NE-facing slope. This is a grass-covered D-shaped area (dims 25.5m N-S; c. 15m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m) surmounted by an intermittently visible earthen bank (at W: Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.1m) and an outer fosse represented by a band of rushes (at W: Wth 2.8m) S-W-N, but the E part of the monument has been removed.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
