The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a valley with a small stream running S-N immediately to the E. This is a grass-covered subcircular area (int. dims 33.5m NNE-SSW; 28m ESE-WNW) defined by an intermittently visible earthen bank (Wth 4-6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m at W to 1.3m at S) with some bushes, and a slight external fosse (at W: Wth of base 3m; D 0.1m) S-NW. The perimeter has been quarried (H 2.8-3.4m) NNW-NE, and the original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
