The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the NW bank of a NE-SW stream, in its deep valley. it is marked only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as a 'Sweat Ho.', with a house c. 70m to the NW. This is a subrectangular roofless chamber (int. dims 2.15m NW-SE; 2.05m NE-SW) defined by a faced drystone wall (max. H 1.45m; T 0.55m) with an opening (Wth 1.2m; H 1.15m plus) at the SE side. There is no evidence of a mound.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
