The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the crest of a shoulder on the S-facing slope of a drumlin. This is an overgrown subrectangular area (int. dims 18m E-W; c. 18m N-S) defined by the remains of a stone spread (at E; Wth 2m) which is incorporated into a field wall (Wth 1m; H 0.9m) SW-NW, and with an outer fosse (at E: Wth of base 1.5m; D 0.6m) N-E. The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
