The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise at the bottom of a S-facing slope. This is a grass and crub-covered subcircular area (dims 26m E-W; 24m N-S) defined by a slight bank (Wth 3m) S-NW and NNE-ESE. There is no visible fosse or entrance, but it is regarded locally as a fort. The monument is truncated by an ENE-WSW field bank at N and an ENE-WSW roadway at S.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
