The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the bottom of a N-facing slope. It is indicated as a small enclosure (dims c. 20m E-W; c. 15m N-S) only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. This is a slightly raised grass and scrub-covered oval area (dims 22m E-W; 15m N-S) confined by field banks at N and E.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
