The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the NE end of a NE-SW drumlin ridge with a small valley immediately to the NE and higher ground beyond that. This is a grass-covered oval area (int. dims 39m E-W; 29.7m N-S) defined by the grass-covered foundations of a stone wall (Wth 1-1.5m). The original entrance is not identified. There is a clearance cairn (diam. 4m; H 0.4m) towards the W part of the interior and a rectangular house-site (int. dims 10m NW-SE; 4.3m NE-SW) defined by slight traces of stone walls is at the centre.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
