The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the top of the N-facing slope of the N shoulder of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered subcircular area (int. dims 29.6m NW-SE; 24.3m NE-SW) defined by a grass-covered earthen bank that is flush with the interior (Wth 2.7-5.4m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.7-1.1m) and an external fosse (Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 0.2-0.3m), the outer edge of which is curtailed N-SE by a field bank. The entrance (Wth of base 2.4m) is at NNE. It is unplanted in a coniferous forest.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
