The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in a slight E-W valley on the SW-facing slope of the Tullyskeherny plateau. This is an oval grass-covered area (int. dims 100m E-W; 64m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) and outer drain (Wth 1.2m; D 0.2m) which only survive ESE-SE, and a stone spread (Wth 2m; H 0.2m) SE-S. The perimeter is a slight bank and outer ditch S-WSW but the bank is removed WSW-WNW. From there it is incorporated into a road bank which circumscribes the enclosure around to ENE. The perimeter has been removed ENE-ESE. There is no discernible entrance.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
