The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a NW-facing slope with Lough Nahoo (dims c. 600m N-S; c. 100-170m E-W) c. 140m to the W and a natural spur extending NW from the monument into the lake. This is an overgrown subcircular area (diam. 22.5m E-W) defined by a stone spread (Wth 1.7-2.4m; int. H 0.8-1.2m; ext. H 1-1.2m) with the outer facing-stones intermittently visible at W. The interior slopes down to the N (ext. H 1.5m) but an original entrance could not be identified.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
