The National Monuments Service's description

Located on the floodplain of the Bonet River, on what is now the N bank. An old loop of the river has silted up but it is still wet (Wth c. 10m; D c. 1m) and encloses an oval grass-covered area (dims c. 80m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE). Harrison's castle (LE014-001001-) was built at the narrowest point of the loop and the enclosed area could have served it as a bawn.
