The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the summit of a NE-SW mountain ridge with panoramic views in every direction. it is indicated as an OS Trigonometric Point on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. This is the remains of a flat-topped earth and stone grass-covered mound or cairn (diam. of base 5.5m; diam. of top 3m; H 0.7m ) with a slight depression on the summit of the cairn, which may have been caused by the placement of an OD stone or tile marking the height of 1137 ft.
