The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise in n a valley close to the headwaters of the Scardan River, with a W-E section of the stream c. 60m to the N. This is an oval platform (diam. 27m N-S; 20m E-W), planted with deciduous trees, which is defined by scarps (H 0.3m generally to 1.6m at E) with the intermittent remains of a grass-covered stone spread on the perimeter. There is an enclosure (diam. 18m) inside the perimeter at SW, defined by a low drystone-built wall (Wth 1-1.5m; H 0.4m), which is probably modern.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
