The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1943 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, it is situated on top of a drumlin on the floor of the NE-SW Bonet River valley. This is a grass-covered subcircular platform (dims 17m N-S; 15m E-W) defined by a low scarp, and with a single elm tree at the centre. It is a possible tree-ring as it is in full view of a house c. 100m to the W.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
