The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the outer edge of a shelf on the steep S-facing slope of a hill, with the N-S ravine of a small stream immediately to the E. This is an overgrown circular area (int. diam. 31m N-S) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.9m) which is reduced to a scarp at SW (downslope), but the inner and outer facing-stones of the wall (Wth 1m) are intermittently visible. An outer earthen bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.5m; L 11m) is separated from the stone wall by a berm (Wth 7m) at WSW. There is an oval hollow (dims 13m x 7m; D 1m), probably a quarry, in the interior.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
