The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on an area of exposed karst (dims c. 200m N-S; c. 130m E-W) that is fairly flat and is on a broad plateau which slopes down generally to the SE. This is a subcircular area (int. diam. 3.1m E-W; 2.1m N-S) defined by a stone spread (Wth 1-1.5m). It is partially overlaid by hut-site (LE006-030013-) and is located c. 100m NE of wedge tomb (LE006-033----).

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
