The National Monuments Service's description

At the E edge of an area of exposed karst (dims c. 370m N-S; c. 130-200m E-W) that is fairly flat and is on a broad plateau which slopes generally down to the SE. Grass and heather-covered subcircular area (int. dims 54m E-W; 49m N-S) defined by a collapsed wall (Wth 1-2m; H 0.3m) with no visible entrance. There are subrectangular hut sites attached to the enclosing feature at ENE (int. dims 2.8m x 2.4m), W (int. dims 2m x 2m) and at WNW (int. dims 3m x 2m).

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
