The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in the undulating landscape on the S shore of Lough Macnean, and on the W side of S-N laneway. Described locally as a flat slab (dims. c. 1.4m x c. 0.6m) which was supported at either end by single stones. It was damaged in land reclamation c.1980 and subsequently removed. (Gallogly 1993-4, 439).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
