The National Monuments Service's description
In an undulating landscape close to the NW corner of Lough Melvin. This is the parish church of Rosinver within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 50m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by masonry walls. The church is a rectangular structure (ext. dims 18.3m E-W; 6.7m N-S) built of randomly coursed mortared limestone walls (Wth 0.8m; max. H 3-5m) surviving almost complete, except the W wall (H 1.4m). Quoinstones and cut-stone architectural features have largely been removed, except the head of a round-headed window (Wth 0.18m; H 2.22m) in the E gable. There is a doorway (Wth 0.98m; H 1.58m), now lintelled but originally round-headed (SMR file 1943), towards the W end of the S wall and a robbed window (H 1.6m) towards the E end of the S wall. There are holes for four corbels in the N wall and four corbels in the S wall at the W end for a gallery.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
