The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated eccelsiastical enclosure within towland that is described by Carrigan as 'There was a church (LA035-061001-) here dedicated to St. Canice. The field in which it stood is called Kilkinnybeg, that is, St. Kenny's little Church. Not a vestige of the church remains. Alsight elevation covered with grass of a greener hue than that growing elsewhere in the field, marks the ancient graveyard (LA035-061003-). The plot occupies the south-east angle of an enclosure a couple of acres in extent, surrounded by an earthen rampart which, though now almost entirely destroyed, can be traced all around' (Carrigan 1905 vol. 2, 310).
