The National Monuments Service's description
Marked on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map; a suboval 'fort' (max. dims. c. 50m E-W; 45m NW-SE) cut by a field wall from NW-N. Situated in an upland area. No visible surface remains.
Archaeological testing in the vicinity of the monument was carried out by Coilin O Drisceoil in 2004 under excavation licence no. 04E0572.
