The National Monuments Service's description
Not marked on the 1838 or 1906 editions of the OS 6-inch map. Earthworks visible on aerial photograph (GSI, S 39-40) to SW of church and graveyard (LA034-001001-/002-). Today there are no visible surface remains. These earthworks may be the grass covered wall footings of buildings described by Carrigan. In 1905 Canon Carrigan recorded that 'outside the graveyard wall (LA034-001002-) are considerable remains of foundations, &c., showing that several buildings formerly stood there' (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 342). A series of linear earthworks can be seen in the field to the SW of the graveyard, these earthworks either represent the remains of a field system or possibly the remains of a settlement associated with the church and graveyard.
