The National Monuments Service's description
Reference to a tumulus which contained a number of earthen vessels or urns (Comerford 1886, vol. 3, 265). Unlocated burial mound within townland that is described by Comerford as 'An ancient tumulus, or arched receptacle for the ashes of the dead, was, several years ago, discovered in an adjoining field (Sleaty Church), and was found to contain a number of earthen vessels or urns arranged in rows, and each covered with a small round flag' (Comerford 1886, vol. 3, 265).
