The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated standing stones within townland described by Daniel O'Byrne in 1856 where he states that 'At Cleanagh, in the parish of Dysart Gallen or Ballinakill, are eight pillar stones marking the line of a famous battle' (O'Byrne 1856, 16).
