The National Monuments Service's description

Unlocated holy well known as St Moula's Well within townland described by Carrigan as 'St. Molua's Well' is in Castlequarter, in the next field to Ladys Well (LA021-047001-). The fact of this holy well being so near the church (LA021-0100001-) would go far to show that St. Molua was the original patron of the church and parish of Skirke' (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 136). St Moula's Well was situated in the field next to Lady's Well (LA021-047001-) (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 136).
