The National Monuments Service's description
Aerial photograph (GB90.AU.18) shows cropmark of a large, but incomplete, curvilinear enclosure defined by a wide fosse and with an entrance facing south-east. The enclosure may be a bailey attached to the adjacent motte (LA020-002-) which is located immediately to the north-west. First recorded as a positive cropmark in May 1990. This enclosure is clearly visible on the OSI website on the 1995 ortho-photos. Part of an extensive, complex and probably multi-period cropmark landscape (LA020-017/018/019/020/021/022/023/024) in the fields south-east of the motte (LA020-002-).
