The National Monuments Service's description
The files of the National Museum of Ireland records that in May 1956 human remains were discovered following a collapse at a sandpit at Kyle, near Timahoe, Co. Laois (Cahill & Sikora 2011, Vol. 2, 490). According to the workers in the sandpit, a human skull and some bones were noted, but no grave goods or structural stones were noted in the vicinity. The site was not investigated and the remains were not acquired.
