Marked 'site of Church' on 1838 ed OS 6-inch map in centre of a circular enclosure (LA017-004002-). Situated in undulating countryside. Remains of a low mound with a rectangular hollow area in the centre. No other visible surface remains. A hawthorn bush is growing on the spot marked 'thorn' on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
