The National Monuments Service's description
New features discovered in 2003 during excavations of the M7 Heath-Mayfield motorway scheme by Colum Hardy for V.J. Keeley under licence number 03E0905 following previous centre line investigation by Ros O Maolduin under licence number 03E0128.
In Area 2 several linear ditches were uncovered in three trenches that were located 117m E of the pits (LA013-114) (Bennett 2006, 286).
