The National Monuments Service's description

Unlocated mill within the townland of Dysart mentioned in the OS letters and was located adjoining a place called Coille about two miles east of Ballinakill where there is a mill, an old church called Dysart Gallen and the remains of an old castle on a hill over it called Cnoc Ard a Gur. It is said that this castle was built by Margaret Lalor, as it was always called Caislean Mhairghead Inghean Dhomnhaill a Chunuic' (O'Flanagan 1933, vol. 1, p. 63).
