The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated church (LA011-028001-) and enclosure within townland, Carrigan describes the monument as 'Very slight traces of the walls of an ancient church are still to be seen in this townland, in a field on the bounds of Paddock, called the 'Kyle [ie. church] Meadow'. It was a very small church, having been apparently no more than 11ft. Wide on the inside. Beside it is the 'Burying Bush', a large sceach (LA011-028004-), around which lies in the graveyard (LA011-028002-). The original enclosing fence has been levelled, but its circuit, which was considerable, can be easily traced. Only unbaptised children are now buried here. There are no head-stones (Carrigan 1905, p. 175).
