The National Monuments Service's description

Unlocated remains of two earthen forts within the townland of Srahanboy described by Helen Roe as 'near Srahan a standing stone (now called cloch Sioffraigh, as it has been associated with the death of Geoffrey McCostigan, at the hands of Sir Charles Coote's men at arms) seems to be in association with two earthen forts (H. Roe A record of Archaeological Discovery, p. 9).
