Unlocated hamlet within townland, mentioned as the 'hamlet of Ballymoyne' in an inquisition of the lands of Robert Pigott of the Disarte in Queen's Co. taken at Maryborough on the 7th September 1607, who received these lands in the 19th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth (1577).
