The National Monuments Service's description
A holy well dedicated to St Bridget whose pattern was formerly held on 1st of February. Spring well in the centre of the village of Rosenallis near the medieval church and nineteenth century Church of Ireland church (LA003-016001-) and graveyard (LA003-016009-).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
