The National Monuments Service's description
Only W gable and N wall survive of this featurelss rubble limestone-built church (dims. 20.3m E-W, 8.6m N-S). Three Early Christian cross-slabs (LA003-003003/004/005-) formerly located against NW angle of church have been moved to Rosenallis RC church (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 307; O'Flanagan, M (ed) 1933, 204).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
