The National Monuments Service's description

Undivided nave and chancel church (LA002-002001-) in elevated position on N side of valley. Holy well (LA002-002003-) in middle of field to S of church. Church located in N quadrant of rectangular shaped graveyard (LA002-002004-). Curving road to N and NW of church may preserve the line of an early Christian enclosure around the monastery of Kilmanman. According to local tradition St. Manman was a seventh century saint who founded a monastery here (Crosdaile 1959, p. 11).
