The National Monuments Service's description
On the edge of a W-facing slope overlooking the floodplain where the River Blackwater flows into the River Suir, in tillage. A roundabout to facilitate the N25 Waterford City Bypass is located c. 80m to the NW. A smaller enclosure (KK043-099----) is located c. 80m to the E. Initially identified during the works on the N25 Waterford City Bypass (Gimson, 2003). On a cropmark image taken by Simon Dowling (aerial image, 29 July 2018), it appears as a somewhat D-shaped enclosure, the straight side of the enclosure running NNE-SSW along the top of the scarp. It is defined by three concentric cropmarks, indicating the monument (int. diam. c. 70m E-W; c. 75m N-S; overall diam. c. 90-100m) was enclosed by three fosses, the inner fosse being much wider and deeper than the outer two.
